Greetings Everyone,

Just wanted to remind everyone of the upcoming Area Council meeting to be held May 12^thfrom 3:30 to 5:30 at the Bartlett Arboretum in Belle Plaine, Kansas. 

The agenda for this meeting and Minutes of the last meeting will be coming out later this coming week.  This will be an important meeting since it will be the first Area wide meeting to be held after the RC&D Program was cut from the Government’s budget and since the Executive Board meeting that council members were invited to attend or participate via teleconference.   The decision was unanimous to move ahead with keeping Sunflower RC&D Area, Inc. going and providing service to our communities. 

Roger and I have committed to assisting the Council with this transition period, but our time will have to be done on a volunteer basis and after hours.   We seem to be using a lot of Annual Leave at this time.    

Hope that you will put the meeting on the 12^th on your calendars and make plans to attend.
